China Green Agriculture, Inc., through its subsidiaries, produces and distributes humic acid organic liquid compound fertilizer. The Company markets its products to wholesalers and retailers of agricultural farm products.
In Sep 2010, Alfred Little raised questions on the company’s purchase of greenhouse land and the amount of VAT it paid. It believes that the actual purchase price is $17.35m, a quarter of the amount reported.
In Oct 2014, the GeoTeam published more reports accusing the company of overstating sales and revenue, applying questionable accounting practices and fabricating the existence of a strong distribution network.
SEC investigated the company and did not recommend any charges. Multiple class action complaints were filed against the company but were later dismissed or settled.
