Yangtze River Port & Logistics (YRIV US)

Year: 2018

Yangtze River Port & Logistics (YRIV) listed on the NASDAQ by means of a reverse merger in 2016. In March 2018, it was attacked by short-seller J-Capital alleging that the company was a stock promote scheme and that its logistics hub was in reality a failed office park. The report appeared to have little impact. In December, short-seller Hindenburg Research released a report which alleged that YRIV was insolvent and its assets had been fabricated. The company's stock price collapsed. In June 2019, the NASDAQ moved to de-list YRIV on the basis that it had manipulated its share price and was not following its business plan. The company then appears to have gone dark. It is a confirmed fraud.
