Chinese finance company Ding Sheng Xin Finance listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in March 2016. In December, the company announced that it had been unable to pay a scheduled dividend owing to problems remitting the funds from China. In April 2017, the ASX sent a letter to Ding Sheng Xin saying it had been brought to its attention that a number of judgements have been made against the company in China. The company responded by saying that this was just part of doing business. In August, the company requested a trading halt as it was unable to publish 1H17 results as it did not have the funds to pay it auditors. Although the company claimed to have received the funds in February 2018, the ASX proceeded to delist the company in May 2018.
