Ebang is a Chinse designer and manufacturer of Bitcoin mining machines which listed on the NASDAQ in 2020. In April 2021, it was targeted by short-seller Hindenburg Research which alleged the company was misrepresenting its activities and embezzling funds. Since the report's publication, Ebang's share price has lost over 90% of its value, similar to many other Bitcoin related companies. While this was a win for the short-seller, the embezzlement allegations were not proven.
