Electro Optic Systems (EOS) is an Australian defence and space technology group listed on the ASX. Supply-chain and funding problems preceded a sharp revenue downgrade in 2022. EY's FY23 audit opinion was unmodified but included a material uncertainty related to going concern. EOS later admitted that it had failed to correct its guidance promptly, and the Federal Court imposed a A$4m penalty in April 2026. A separate controversy arose in February 2026 when Grizzly Research alleged that EOS had misrepresented a conditional US$80m Korean laser contract and the revenues of an acquisition target. EOS rejected the allegations, but ASX required a disclosure-policy review and ASIC subsequently requested documents. An A&G Screen of the FY24 accounts rates the company Medium Risk, highlighting funding and solvency concerns; the FY25 analysis rates it Low Risk. Neither rating establishes whether the contract disclosures were truthful. [3] [2] [8] [9] [11] [13]
