Hua Han Health was attacked by short-seller Emerson Analytics in August 2016 alleging faked sales and profits. This was followed by a report from short-seller Zhongkui Research in September. A few days later, the company requested a trading halt and subsequently announced that EY had paused audit work following the short-sellers' allegations. It had requested further information following certain inconsistencies and/or irregularities. From then on, the company was unable to produce financial statements and the SFC extended the trading halt. Provisional liquidators were appointed in August 2019 and the company's listing was cancelled in December 2020. Hua Han is a confirmed fraud.
