Chinese supply chain finance company Linklogis listed on the Hong Kong Exchange in April 2021. Just three months later, in July, the company was targeted by short-seller Valiant Varriors alleging that it was understating exposure to property, overstating revenues, exaggerating technological capabilities and was a governance risk. Given that there were no auditor and/or director resignations related to the report, the allegations remain unproven. Linklogis' disappointing share price performance is likely related more to negative sentiment towards the property sector and rising interest rates than the short-sellers' report.
