Japanese venture capital fund SBI Holdings listed in Japan in 2000. the company was attacked by short-seller Valiant Varriors in December 2022 alleging that its portfolio was substantially over-valued owing to its exposure to crypto-currencies and vulnerability to rising rates. The short-seller's report failed to prompt any auditor and/or director resignations. Full year results to March 2023 were ahead of expectations and its share price has traded sideways. As such, the allegations remain unproven.
