Chinese silver mining mining company, Silvercorp, listed in Canada in October 2005 via a reverse takeover. It listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in November 2009. In September 2011, the company announced that it had received an anonymous letter accusing it of fraud. This was shortly followed by a report from short-seller Alfred Little. Silvercorp responded by establishing an independent committee to investigate the allegations which subsequently cleared the company of any wrongdoing in October. Given that Silvercorp passed a forensic investigation, retained its auditors and did not lose any senior board members, the allegations remain unproven.
